Silence is a Sign
There hasn’t been too much to write about the past week because the legislature is quiet. Though this is expected, it makes me uneasy. Like kids and puppies, when you don’t hear from them for a while, you know they are up to no good.
Though the back rooms aren’t smoke-filled anymore, rest assured they are in use. The wheeling and dealing began after the April 15th deadline for bills to leave their committees.
I kind of wish for the good ole’ days when the Jack’s Bar was open. It used to be a common meeting place for legislators to hash out their differences and quench their thirst. You could drink a cold beer, try to listen in and see how Nevada politics works.
