PEBP, recently I have begun the Medicare application program and the entrance into HRA. I have not really encountered any problems to date but I am concerned about how I will have to go about recapturing my $200 dollar a month subsidy from the PEBP program. One would think that the money which has been set aside for that purpose could go directly into paying for my medi-gap program, along with my part D program and the $100 for my part B program. It seems however that I must pay and then be reimbursed for my efforts. At least we should be able to have the money taken directly from our pers checks and then apply for a reimbursement. Instead we must set up a means through our own credit-union or bank to make the payments then apply back to PEBP for a reimbursement. That seems in the very least to be inefficient and subject to errors. Correcting those errors could become a problem especially for elderly people not very fast on the financial uptake. Perhaps PEBP could come up with an easier solution.
